Turn your products photoshoot into a Blog!

Get inspired, and make your own Blog!

It’s just amazing to see how our albums, prints, and boxes can look on a well made, perfectly styled photoshoot. Yes, we know we have beautiful heirlooms, but in the hands of talented photographers, they really stand out.

Christina Quesenberry - or Tina, just made an amazing photoshoot of some newly purchased PrimaBook with box, deckled edge prints, and some fabric swatches.

I’m Tina, a Vilseck based photographer, artist, educator, and all around nerd obsessed with uplifting & documenting families of all walks of life

We shared Tina’s Instagram stories, we really liked her post on QTLounge private Facebook group - but the Blog she wrote is just the best! We wanted to share it here, to inspire other photographers to do the same. Take a look at some snaps that Tina took, they’re just lovely!

And some more pictures…

Create heirloom pieces of art that are so perfect you can’t help but treat them like museum worthy treasures

We hope that Tina’s Blog will inspire you to purchase your own samples and taking some great pictures that you will be able to show to your clients. We hope to see a lot more Blogs, stories and photos like this, and we can’t wait to share them!

Thank you Tina!

Boudoir Photography with Jasmin Jade

The Art of Boudoir Photography!

In this week’s Blog we would like to introduce you to Jasmin Jade - who is a talented boudoir photographer and works closely with QtAlbums. We’re so lucky to have her on board - her pictures are absolutely stunning and combined with our albums they make an amazing combination!

It takes a lot of experience to manage a boudoir session - you need to make sure your clients feel comfortbale and can fully invlove with you - so that their inner & outer beauty can shine.

When you hear ‘boudoir session’ what comes to mind? When I first started my journey as a photographer, I pictured the basics when it came to boudoir: bold lingerie, striking high heels, sensual lighting. It wasn’t until after my first few sessions that I realized there was a lot more to it than just that.

A boudoir shoot can be an exciting and gratifying experience for both the photographer and the client. However, the first time can also be a little bit intimidating! It is so unlike any other style of photography out there, and because of that requires some different planning for things to run smoothly for everyone. This is why I’ve decided to come up with some absolute essentials you may not think about needing until you’re already at your session with your client.

Deckled Edge Cotton Rag Artbook

We recommend Deckled Edge Cotton Rag ArtBook as the top-of-the-range album for boudoir photography. Take a look at Jasmin’s photos printed in our album with deckled edges, Peacock Silk Cover and Gold Embossing!

PrimaBook

Early this year we’ve added PrimaBook to our products collection and as it’s so amazingly priced, it can easily be part of your offering with every boudoir shoot. Let’s be honest - a boudoir session JUST HAS TO GET PRINTED! Take a look at Tropical colour PrimaBook with Stamp “XOXO” - it’s a great match along with another stamp we have “For Your Eyes Only”

Print Your Vacation Photos in PrimaBook

We all have that one special holiday (some lucky people have more!) that we love to go back to in our memory. When we’ve had great time, when we’ve been with people who mean a lot to us, when we’ve visited amazing places on this planet. We all take pictures like crazy, but what do you do with them after?

Be like Valerie and Ivana - two fantastic ladies photographers who I had the pleasure to work with to create this Blog -

AND PRINT YOUR OWN PHOTOS!

What is the best album to pick for your travel photos? Both Valerie and Ivana went for PrimaBook - it’s super affordable, so you can make albums of all your travels.

READ THE BLOG

Valerie has created a 30x30cm PrimaBook (colour Wheat) from her stunning New Zealand trip, and here is was she told me:

I could touch the cover all day every day. It’s super soft and I love it. I decided to not only print the pictures of my New Zealand journey but also add my texts to it. It’s like a storybook that I want to read and show to my own kids one day.

Finish off the cover with one of our pre-made stamps in gold - “Memories” would be the perfect fit.

It was so good to see that Valerie wasn’t the only person with a PrimaBook travel album idea - Ivana had it too! And they have both inspired me to write this Blog and share this idea with you all.

Here is what Ivana wrote about her album:

I’ve been using QT albums for a few years and I fell in love with the quality immediately! I use them for my client’s wedding albums and I was excited to try the new Prima album as it promised the same QT quality at an affordable rate. Well, the Prima book didn’t disappoint! It’s perfect for smaller sessions and travel albums to preserve those favourite photos we always forget on our phones for years. My partner and I made our own travel album with Prima and it’s a beauty! The velvet-like cover fabric is so smooth to touch and looks great with the golden embossing. We keep it on our bedside drawers and look through it often to remind us of the adventures we’ve had and that we should never stop dreaming of new ones even in these hard times.

If you’re a photographer, who has tons of pictures from travel and holiday, and you feel that now is the time to finally print them and treat yourself with an album, we’ve got something for you!

20% OFF until the end of September on your OWN PrimaBook!

Engagement Shoot with PrimaBook!

Are you offering albums as a part of the engagement shoots? Our new PrimaBook is a perfect match!

Engagement shoots are fun. The couple is more relaxed than they would be on their wedding day. They are in love and simply happy and you need to preserve those emotions on pictures. For you, it’s a great way to meet the couple and create a bond.

Engagement Shoot

While large weddings still can’t take place in some countries, the restrictions are slowly lifting and small gatherings are permitted under certain rules.

It’s safe to meet somewhere in the open air, where you can all keep good social distance, but at the same time have fun and get out of the house!

You can try to arrange the shoot on the day that the couple had planned for the wedding, this may cheer them up a little, still make that day important. Plus, it’s a good practice before the actual wedding shoot and you can get to know each other better.

PrimaBook

When you add an album into the shoot you can make some extra cash, and at the same time you are giving them something special - the eternal ♥️LOVE♥️ for printed albums (we know it always starts with one…). And we have a perfect match! The PrimaBook

It will be much easier to encourage your couple to a more expensive and luxurious album like an AriaBook or ArtBook for their actual wedding album once they see their engagement images in print.

Start offering PrimaBook with your engagement sessions!

PrimaBook is exactly what your couple need for their engagement session - the choice of sizes, the choice of colours and a set of beautiful stamps. Plus is amazingly priced for the usual QT high quality. If you want to learn more about this book and how to offer it to your clients, get in touch with me - I will ♥️ to help you!

PrimaBook

boost your sales while you’re at home!

Almost a year ago we were getting ready to present you with a new album. That time, we have focused on eco-friendliness and we wanted to keep the wastage and the price as low as possible. This is how we came up with the BloomBook - which today is one of our top selling products.

And last year we wouldn’t have guessed that this time around we will all be facing difficult times caused by the outbreak of coronavirus. This is the new reality, whether we like it or not. But instead of just waiting, watching the news and hoping this will soon pass, we want to be pro-active. We are giving you a new product - specifically designed to boost your sales. The new album is called PrimaBook.

PrimaBook is an album designed for family photography, couples & engagement sessions, portrait & boudoir photography. It comes in 3 sizes and 10 different colours to give you a choice, yet still keeping the price very low. This opens a whole new area for you and your clients.

While we still recommend AriaBook and ArtBook as the main album for your brides & grooms, we hope that with the extra time on your hands you can encourage your clients to print their everyday photos. In fact, our colleagues from IPSM have prepared some great TIPS for photographers during these uncertain times.

We have stripped the PrimaBook from endless options to keep it sweet & simple. We offer it on Digital Satin paper with a good collection of standard stamps to suit different occasions.

Follow PrimaBook website and #primabook to see the colours and stamps that you can mix & match!

NEW PRODUCTS & COVERS!

Qtalbums is bringing you more quality products! FOLIO & VELVET COVERS

This year has been very productive so far. We have travelled the world to meet you in Atlanta, Texas, Las Vegas, Birmingham and Cannes. Everywhere we went people LOVED our products. In Atlanta, we have shown FOLIO for the very first time. It made a huge impression on the audience so we had no choice but to start making it! It’s an excellent way to present pictures.

Folio comes in two sizes: 4x6”and 6x6”. You can pick a duo or a trio version and choose one of our beautiful linens or silks as a cover. Printed on Fuji Lustre or Matte Cotton Rag paper. The prints are permanently mounted to a beautifully textured mat board. There is a discrete magnet which helps with keeping the folio closed.

Cover personalizations are also possible - so say no more - they are perfect. Besides that, they can be stood on end for presentation, so it’s an ideal gift! Folio is available to purchase in the new storefront. Take a look at the stunning pictures of the Folio in the gallery above.

As our travels continued, we wanted to show you more options for albums covers (like if there weren’t enough) so we’ve picked VELVET. And again - it has proved to be a big hit at The Photography Show in Birmingham last March. Velvet is a distinctive soft feel fabric with a short dense piled surface.

We offer it in ten noble colours to emphasize the luxury of this material. Fantastic textile for album covers as well as clamshell or lid boxes. Due to the type of fabric, personalisations are limited at present. But wait till our new UV machine arrives and you won’t have to worry about limitations anymore.

We have recently added this fabric to our shop, so now you can immerse yourself in endless options!

Get on board for the MYSTIC SEMINARS!

Get on board for the MYSTIC SEMINARS!

“You guys are everywhere!” – these were the words we heard from a photographer in Cannes when we attended Way Up North. And here we go again – Havana, Cuba. We are sponsoring Mystic Seminars taking place on a cruise ship on route from Port Canaveral, Florida to Port of Call, Havana! Yes, you heard me right – a cruise ship. An actual Wedding Photography Conference aboard a cruise ship. April 15-19th – is the date when our colleague, Jamie, sets sail with a group of big fish in the photo industry.

Eirik Halvorsen and Paul Woo from #teamQT (our ambassadors ) are speaking at the event so definitely visit them!

Eirik Halvorsen: I have attended several conferences in Europe and the USA and I have never made so many awesome contacts as I have at Mystic. Many I today can call my friends. As a Norwegian from the cold North I have always looked at America for inspiration, and being at Mystic has given me that inspiration, tangible business insight and an expanded network throughout the world”

He call himself a wanderingwoo, and a little story about him here:

Paul Woo: I’m a photographer, adventurer, foodie... but if I could re-classify myself, it would be someone who simply enjoys life and see the beauty of it.

Photography has always been more than just an assignment. I see it as a privilege to be able to capture a unique perspective of someone’s intimate moment.

The life and experience of a photographer is always one of self reflection and constant learning, that I find fascinating. Every moment that I capture, every interaction I have with people, the more beauty i find in life.

Mystic is going into its 14th year of wedding photography education seminar, but it’s our first time attending. Jamie Westman, who is going to represent us, is in shipshape to tell you all about our albums. We wish all the speakers & attendees Fair Winds and Following Seas.

Here’s what the organisers say: A conference where the speakers, attendees, and sponsors interact on the same level. Where real and meaningful connections are made. Where everyone involved brings inspiration forward. A place where you will make lifelong friends. A conference where you know you belong
