Showcase High-End Products Through Photos and Stunning Displays

As photographers and creatives, we know that our work shines brightest when it’s tangible—held in the hands, displayed on walls, and woven into the fabric of our clients’ lives. But to sell high-end albums and wall art, clients need to see them for what they truly are: timeless, handcrafted pieces of art.

If you want to sell it, you have to show it.

It’s that simple. Your clients can’t desire what they can’t envision. By showcasing high-quality photos of your albums and wall art on your website, social media, and in your studio, you’re helping them see the value in turning their memories into something they’ll treasure forever.

The Power of Professional Photography

When it comes to selling premium products, quality matters—and that extends to how you present those products. By photographing your albums and wall art in ways that emphasize their craftsmanship, you’re creating an emotional connection before the client ever holds them in their hands.

● For Albums:

Highlight the textures of the cover material, the thickness of the pages, and the quality of the printing. Capture detail shots that focus on the nishing touches, like custom embossing or debossing. Show the album in a lifestyle setting, perhaps resting on a coffee table or being ipped through by hands that tell their own story.

For Wall Art:

Photograph wall art in real-life environments, like above a cozy living room sofa or as a centerpiece in a modern dining room. Include a sense of scale by showing the art in proportion to other furniture or décor. Use natural lighting to enhance the richness of the prints and frames.

Bring Your Studio to Life

If you have a studio space, use it to its full potential. Display sample products in well-lit, inviting areas where clients can see and touch them. Seeing a gallery wall or ipping through a nished album in person creates a lasting impression—and makes the investment feel worthwhile. Don’t have a studio? Bring the same approach to your website or social media. Post beautifully styled photos of your products so clients can imagine what their memories might look like in their own homes.

Tell the Story Behind the Product

Great storytelling is a powerful sales tool. Use your blog, website, or social media captions to share the story behind your products. For example:

“This heirloom album was handcrafted with archival materials to preserve the Smith family’s wedding memories for generations.”

“Imagine waking up to this stunning family portrait in your bedroom every day—bringing a little more joy to your mornings.”

By weaving stories into your product displays, you’re helping clients connect emotionally with the products you offer.

Where to Start

1. Choose Your Best Products: Select albums and wall art that showcase your nest work and represent your brand.

2. Photograph Thoughtfully: Invest time in creating well-lit, detailed images of your products in lifestyle settings.

3. Update Your Marketing: Share these images across your website, social media, and email campaigns.

Clients don’t just want to buy prints—they want to buy the feeling of having their memories beautifully preserved and displayed. Your visuals should evoke that desire.

Anniversary Albums - print these great memories!

Great ideas come from great people!

You know what they say about friends: “In the cookie of life, friends are the chocolate chips.” We are very lucky at QtAlbums - we have many, many chocolate chips. And one of the sweetest is Eirik Halvorsen, with whom I had the pleasure to discuss how we can promote our albums in 2020 when it’s hard to predict the coming months. It’s great to know we can all support each other in these new, challenging times.

Eirik posted this super cute story about his couple getting an anniversary album. You can read it below

This is possibly the best prank I’ve ever pulled off (yes, I pranked my client) 😂

Heidi got in touch with me a few months before their one year wedding anniversary. She wanted to surprise Sturle with a wedding album. We secretly corresponded via her work email so that he wouldn’t find out.

What an awesome idea! The one year anniversary is after all the paper anniversary (hint, hint to you album- and printless couples out there) 😉

But after a few weeks something even more awesome happened. Sturle secretly got in touch with me to surprise Heidi with a wedding album on their one year anniversary!

I really love what Eirik wrote at the end of his post

The lesson in this story is, don’t be late! I’m here to help you design and make your dream album. I don’t want your wedding photos to be trapped on a hard drive on a computer somewhere. Let them breathe. Let them be seen and cherished ❤️

If you’re wondering how you can fill the gap this summer while waiting for restrictions to lift, maybe you can use THE ANNIVERSARIES ALBUMS IDEA?

  • Talk to your couples from last year or many years past. Think of all the couples who didn’t invest into wedding album. Maybe now they feel the time is right. Maybe they have more time to go through the details with you. Or maybe they feel like something is missing now that nostalgia for the past has set in.

  • Their wedding anniversary is approaching - May, June, July, August 2019 - a wedding album could be a great gift idea!

  • Don’t forget about your ideal clients who DID purchase a wedding album from you - you can collect their personal photos taken since then and create an album featuring their first (2nd, 3rd, 50th) year together. Hopefully this will start a yearly tradition!

We don’t know what the summer season will look like, but we can probably agree it won’t be the same this year, as a majority of weddings have been postponed into autumn and winter or even next year.

But people will still get married and they will still need photographers. We can still make the most out of 2020 - it’s only May!
